We invite you to join us at an upcoming event to see our school and learn more about Montessori, an educational approach that has empowered children to reach their potential across the world, for the past 100 years.
Our Parent Education nights feature local expert speakers on the topics of parenting and education, of interest to parents of young children and open to the public. They also provide a great opportunity to meet our staff and learn more about the experience your child can have at Little Lyceum and make friends within our vibrant community of families. Come relax for an evening, let your children play in our outdoor learning environment, and leave better prepared to make one of the most important choices you'll make as a parent.
July parent education night: july barbecue with a talk on "detachment" parenting
July 28, 2017 | 5:30 pm | Little Lyceum Montessori School -- 800 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver CO, 80226
Join the faculty and families of Little Lyceum for an informative and fun-filled summer gathering Friday, July 28 at 5:30pm. Our Head of School, Gordon Kearns, will be giving a presentation on "detachment" parenting -- a Montessori perspective on fostering truly secure children with compassionate limit-setting and confident responses. This presentation will be relevant to parents of infants through kindergarten age and beyond, and is open to the general public.
Bring friends, family, and anyone you think could use an introduction to Montessori pedagogy or some tips on communicating with children in a way that supports their autonomy and independence. Please RSVP with the number of adults and children you'll be bringing!
We will be serving barbecue, drinks, and snacks -- feel free to bring something to share!
